Amy van Wezel

Amy van Wezel is originally from Cape Town, studied a BA degree at Rhodes University majoring in History and Classical Civilization and BA Hons at University of Cape Town in Classical Studies. She is currently studying towards a MA degree in Classics at Rhodes University looking at a comparison between Imperial ideology and policy towards the 'other' in Roman literature and the writing of Sir Harry Smith on the Eastern Cape in the early 1800s. She has completed short courses in museology, heritage and paper conservation. She worked as an intern at the Albany Museum from 2010 - 2011 and was employed as a historian and curator of the History Department in 2013.
